Milton's 400th Anniversary at the The Banqueting House

In 2010 Val staged a combined arts programme in celebration of the 400th anniversary of John Milton's birth at The Banqueting House, Whitehall. The programme included a dialogue written by Valerie Doulton between Cromwell, King Charles I and Milton, performed in the room from which the king went to his execution. Also included was music, dance, and spoken word with Blake's visual images for Paradise LostMilton's sonnets on blindness were spoken by Blind performer Margo Cargill.


October 21st and 22nd 2010.
