Val staged the premiere of Charlotte, Emily and Anne by Douglas Verrall. This production has been performed in the chapel at Haworth, the National Portrait Gallery, Bath Literature Festival, and as a benefit performance in St. John's church, Waterloo, and The United Reformed Church, Highgate Village, in memory of Douglas Verrall for his chosen charity Macmillan Cancer Care. Cast for the benefit performances: Helen Ayres, Yvonne Bonnamy, Catherine Harvey, Kate Odey, and Camilla Simson. In this production Anne Bronte has also been played by Christine King.
